'Rose of Venus'; the 5 petals of Venus and its 8-year cycle
The Rose of Venus is a geometric pattern Venus makes with Earth over 8 years. The pattern is made up of 5 Venus cycles which take approximately 18 months each
This is because Venus orbits the sun once every 224.7 days, while the Earth 365.25 days.
The ratio of these two periods is 0.615, or about 8 to 13.
Since the difference between 8 and 13 is 5, the path of Venus has a five-fold symmetry relative to Earth. This pattern is sometimes called the Rose of Venus.
